Joumana Altallal
Joumana Altallal (she/her) is an Iraqi-Lebanese poet, researcher, and artist who was born in Baghdad and grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia. Her work has appeared in Mizna, The Rumpus, Muzzle Magazine, and Michigan Quarterly Review. She earned a BA from the University of Virginia and an MFA in poetry from the University of Michigan.
